Since you are visiting our website you are probably interested in urban issues and have some desire to make a difference. You can, in fact, make a significant difference! By empowering communities and changing lives, the CUL gives contemporary meaning to a vision born nearly a century ago.

As they say, actions speak louder than words, so I encourage you to check out CUL's actions:

à If you believe all children should have safe homes, adequate nutrition and quality education in order to thrive, take a look at our Head Start Program or our Education and Prevention Services Department;

à If you believe every willing adult should be able to improve their employability in order to earn and provide for themselves and their families, take a look at our African American Male Initiative or our numerous career service programs;

à If you believe the dream to own a home should not be limited to suburbia, take a look at our housing services like homebuyer education and tenant assistance;

à If you believe our economy is stronger if those with entrepreneurial vision, ingenuity and drive have resources to allow them to prosper, take a look at our Young Professionals Association and its power luncheons and other events.
